Boston Red Sox Standings

The Boston Red Sox owned by Fenway Sports Group is an American professional baseball team founded in 1901. Its current name has metamorphosed over the years ever since it was founded; it was once called “the red stockings”

It has a track record of winning 8 out of 12 World Series championships which is pretty impressive. These amazing achievements are credited to top notch management of the team and the world-class baseball players it has signed over the years. Some of its most marvelous players of all time include Jimmie Foxx (1939), Babe Ruth (1916) and Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Wade Boggs who propelled the team to the World Series in 1986 but unfortunately lost against the New York Mets.

Currently, Dave Dombrowski, the red sox president fired John Farrell, the manager. Rumor has it that this was because they did not advance past the Division Series. On the bright side, they still top the 2017 AL East Standings with 93 wins.
