Rick Porcello was born on 27th December 1988 as Fredrick Alfred Porcello. Rick Porcello is an American professional baseball pitcher. He plays for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball. His siblings also play the game of baseball. His brother Zach, who happens to be older than him, is a pitching coach at Seton Hall University. While his younger brother Jack is a pitcher at Hall Seton University.

Having a good background in baseball, Rick Porcello actually did well enough in his exams. He graduated with a four year weighted cumulative GPA of 3.94. However, before graduating, Rick Porcello was signed up with the Detroit Tiger in 2009 who offered a $7.8 million contract. In total, he earned up to $11.1 million.
